Marijuana For Recreational Use\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Rhode Island has been full of marijuana updates lately.\u00a0 Earlier in the week it was reported that RI is considering <a href=\"http:\/\/www.necn.com\/03\/23\/12\/RI-lawmakers-to-take-up-marijuana-dispen\/landing_health.html?&amp;apID=cae9e4132d324d3c80dacabdafde3903\" target=\"_blank\">three new medical marijuana facilities<\/a>.\u00a0 Currently, medical marijuana is permitted if patients meet certain criteria.\u00a0 They are allowed to possess 2.5 ounces and 12 plants but there are no dispensaries.\u00a0 In a newer development, it was revealed that legislators in Rhode Island are now even considering legalizing marijuana for recreational use.\u00a0 The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rilin.state.ri.us\/ComMembers\/ComMemS.asp?ComChoiceS=SJUD\" target=\"_blank\">Senate Judiciary Committee <\/a>will hear both sides of the debate on Tuesday.\u00a0 Decriminalizing Lowest Priority are Underway in 6 Washington State Cities\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Washington State has already considered serious marijuana reform by the actions of <a href=\"http:\/\/newapproachwa.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">New Approach Washington<\/a>.\u00a0 The group was able to collect enough signatures for marijuana legalization (<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Washington_Initiative_502_%282011%29\" target=\"_blank\">Initiative 502<\/a>) to make it to the ballot and face a vote by the people.\u00a0 In the meantime however, it looks as if residents in Washington will attempt other ways in which to reform marijuana law.\u00a0 Sensible Washington is making a huge effort to push the decriminalization initiatives in Spokane, Olympia, Kent, Bellingham, Everett, and Bremerton.\u00a0 Seattle and Tacoma have already passed similar legislation making marijuana enforcement for personal adult use the lowest priority by ban on synthetic marijuana for the past several months.\u00a0 They have finalized the ban preventing convenience store and tobacco shops from selling the popular products such as \u201cK2\u201d and \u201cSpice\u201d.\u00a0 Many have been concerned with recent health reports on the products.\u00a0 Teenagers seem especially vulnerable as there have been many emergency room visits reported that have been linked to use of synthetic marijuana.\u00a0 Many of these instances involve teens not being able to speak or acknowledge their surroundings.\u00a0 The National Poison Control Center has received 8,000 calls involving synthetic cannabis since 2011.\u00a0 The rise in the numbers is staggering as New York had 4 such instances in 2009 and 2010.\u00a0 New York State<a href=\"http:\/\/schumer.senate.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Senator Charles Schumer<\/a> has led the charge for both a national ban and New York\u2019s ban on synthetic cannabis.\u00a0 He has met
