serious.\u00a0 Patients seeking relief need marijuana reform desperately so that there is no shame or embarrassment in acquiring\u00a0 their medicine.\u00a0 However, there are times when developments highlighting the need for change are actually quite comical.<\/p>\n<p>The idea of criminals using masks to conceal their identities is nothing new.\u00a0 However, it appears we have seen a rise in crimes performed by those wearing costumes of our favorite popular culture figures.\u00a0 One famous case involved none other <a href=\"http:\/\/gothamist.com\/2010\/07\/22\/darth_vader_robs_bank_photos_oh_yes.php\" target=\"_blank\">than Darth Vader himself <\/a>who apparently was short on cash and felt compelled to rob a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chase.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Chase bank<\/a> in 2010.\u00a0 Two \u201cninjas\u201d, or at least individuals with authentic costumes, robbed a medical marijuana delivery man.\u00a0 The man dropped a bag of cannabis that was intended for a patient and also money.\u00a0 The two costumed perpetrators thankfully were not armed with Katana blades, but instead batons.\u00a0 No one was hurt and authorities are on the lookout for the ninjas, who may evade capture if their stealth techniques are sharp enough.\u00a0 This story does provide something serious to take away from it however.\u00a0 Those who usually deliver products door to door are not in as much of a high risk situation as a marijuana worker.\u00a0 Pizza delivery employees do not have piles of cash and valuable marijuana on them.\u00a0 Those delivering cannabis should be taking extra precaution and perhaps even escorted by security personnel.<\/p>\n<p>Another comical example of just how much marijuana laws need to be reformed was provided by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.enterprisenews.com\/topstories\/x777657935\/Whitman-man-with-marijuana-business-cards-arrested-on-drug-charges\" target=\"_blank\">a man in Massachusetts<\/a>.\u00a0 Michael Sansone of Whitman did not exactly make much of an effort to conceal his illegal business.\u00a0 He had business cards printed that had a picture of marijuana plant with the words \u201cfor sale\u201d and \u201cmedical\u201d. \u00a0\u00a0Additionally the cards included a phone number and directions that stated \u201cask for Mike\u201d.\u00a0 The business hours were listed as 3pm-7pm weekdays and 12pm-6pm on weekends.\u00a0 Local Deputy Police Chief Scott Benton said \u201cI guess he\u2019s not an early riser.\u00a0 Only in America.\u201d\u00a0 Police arrested Mr. Sansone after he approached a woman and asked if she wanted to purchase marijuana.\u00a0 He opened the trunk of his car to show her that he had it.\u00a0 The frightened woman contacted local police.\u00a0 Massachusetts does not even permit medical marijuana, and certainly will have zero tolerance for public selling out of one\u2019s car.\u00a0 Although the story may induce a few chuckles, Mr. Sansone is breaking state law and likely does not have his marijuana tested by a lab.<\/p>\n<p>While we can have a little fun with these two news stories, in no way do we want to lose sight of the daily struggles for so many patients.\u00a0 More security precautions should be the future of any delivery service and may eliminate the \u201cninjas\u201d from stealing medicine and cash.\u00a0 Safe access would prevent the black market that allows an eccentric individual to sell marijuana out of his car.\u00a0 While funny stories bring a smile to our faces,
