{"id":1500,"date":"2012-03-04T20:59:08","date_gmt":"2012-03-04T20:59:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.marijuana.net\/?p=12732"},"modified":"2012-03-04T20:59:08","modified_gmt":"2012-03-04T20:59:08","slug":"cypresshill-smokeout-brings-community-together-for-memorable-event","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cannitrol.com\/blog\/cypresshill-smokeout-brings-community-together-for-memorable-event\/","title":{"rendered":"CypressHill Smokeout Brings Community Together for Memorable Event"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"wp_fb_like_button\" style=\"margin:5px 0 5px 5px;float:right;height:100px;\"><script src=\"http:\/\/connect.facebook.net\/en_US\/all.js#xfbml=1\"><\/script><fb:like href=\"https:\/\/cannitrol.com\/blog\/cypresshill-smokeout-brings-community-together-for-memorable-event\/\" send=\"true\" layout=\"standard\" width=\"450\" show_faces=\"false\" font=\"arial\" action=\"like\" colorscheme=\"light\"><\/fb:like><\/div><p><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"836\" height=\"505\" src=\"http:\/\/www.marijuana.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/Smokeout-Festival.png\" class=\"attachment-post-thumbnail wp-post-image\" alt=\"Smokeout Festival\" title=\"Smokeout Festival\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-12741\" href=\"http:\/\/www.marijuana.net\/news-and-articles\/cypresshill-smokeout-brings-community-together-for-memorable-event\/attachment\/smokeout-festival-3\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-12741\" title=\"Smokeout Festival\" src=\"http:\/\/www.marijuana.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/Smokeout-Festival-150x150.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/marijuana.net\" target=\"_blank\">Marijuana.net<\/a> aims to be supportive of our community gatherings.\u00a0 The past week has been eventful as the community stood up and demonstrated their opposition the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marijuana.net\/news-and-articles\/cypress-hill-smokeout-for-safe-access-protest-shows-huge-support-for-patients\/\" target=\"_blank\">Los Angeles City Council\u2019s threat to ban collectives<\/a>.\u00a0 We also had the <a href=\"http:\/\/smokeoutfestival.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Cypress Hill Smokeout<\/a> over the weekend which treated the community to full day of music, art, food, education and fun.<\/p>\n<p>Those in attendance were treated to excellent performances by more than 20 artists on three stages.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cypresshill.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Cypress Hill <\/a>has long been known for its great live performances and on Saturday they more than lived up to expectations.\u00a0 Fans were treated to many of their hits and of course loudly sang along to \u201cInsane in The Brain\u201d which, to no one\u2019s surprise was one of the major highlights of the day.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.korn.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Korn <\/a>also performed well as their signature deep base could be felt throughout the venue.\u00a0 For those who ventured to the stage inside, they were treated to unique sounds of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wolfganggartner.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Wolfgang Gartner<\/a>.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/sublimewithrome.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sublime with Rome<\/a> also put the crowd into a frenzy as they mixed up their playlists with both old and new hits.\u00a0 For a complete list and information on the 2012 Cypress Hill Smokeout performers <a href=\"http:\/\/smokeoutfestival.com\/acts\" target=\"_blank\">click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>There was also much more offered at the event other than just music.\u00a0 The vendor village included tents selling apparel as well as providing education and awareness for patient related issues. \u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.marijuana.net\" target=\"_blank\">Marijuana.net<\/a> would like to thank everyone who stopped by our tent in the vendor village.\u00a0 We found those who stopped by receptive to our shared goals of patient safety and awareness.\u00a0 There was also a designated patient area and of course, plenty of food.<\/p>\n<p>As per the recurring theme, we at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marijuana.net\" target=\"_blank\">marijuana.net<\/a> witnessed a very peaceful environment with law enforcement and attendees getting along well.\u00a0 Our diverse community knows how to handle a large scale concert festival without much of the issues that trouble sporting events or clubs.\u00a0 We look forward to seeing everyone at the next community event.\u00a0 Check back later as we post the winners of our raffle!
