I had a puff.\u201d<\/h6>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This audacious\u00a0admission and his new approach provides a striking contrast to the recently ousted Stephen Harper\u2019s campaign of cruelty and propaganda. During Harper&#8217;s reign as Prime Minister he was responsible for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.ca\/daniel-tencer\/medical-marijuana-laws-canada_b_4980014.html#Harper%20Launches%20A%20Witch%20Hunt%20On%20Medical%20Pot%20Users\" target=\"_blank\">rolling back<\/a> and creating new restrictions on<a href=\"http:\/\/www.marijuana.com\/blog\/news\/2014\/03\/canadas-marijuana-growers-must-destroy-their-weed-or-face-authority\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Canada&#8217;s medical marijuana program<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Apparently not satisfied with alienating that large chunk of Canadian voters, Harper then continued his campaign of political suicide when he erroneously claimed that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marijuana.com\/blog\/news\/2015\/10\/canadian-prime-minister-calls-marijuana-infinitely-worse-than-tobacco\/\" target=\"_blank\">marijuana was &#8220;infinitely worse&#8221;<\/a> than tobacco. An almost criminal assertion.<\/p>\n<p>Firmly entrenched on the wrong side of science, and obviously out of touch with public opinion, Mr.\u00a0Harper thought the majority of Canadians agreed with his opposition to the legalization of marijuana. Now better informed, he&#8217;ll soon be looking for his next high-paying gig back in the private sector.
