Thanks to Gov. Pat McCrory\u2019s long ignored veto stamp, the hemp bill left behind on his desk when the N.C. General Assembly headed off for vacation last month \u2026 <a href=\"http:\/\/openstates.org\/nc\/bills\/2015\/SB313\/\" target=\"_blank\">just became law<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>While some politicians will hear the Fat Lady\u2019s song and call hemp\u2019s freedom in North Carolina a hateful noise, even though they love the idea of a new cash crop. The fact of the matter remains; the campaign to legalize hemp in North Carolina is effectively over \u2026 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marijuana.com\/blog\/news\/2015\/09\/building-with-hemp-americas-next-industrial-revolution\/\">and HEMP WON<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to either the Gov.&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/governor.nc.gov\/press-release\/governor-mccrory-allows-industrial-hemp-and-board-governors-legislation-become-law\" target=\"_blank\">apathy or an epiphany<\/a>, the passage of North Carolina&#8217;s industrial hemp legislation will put them in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncsl.org\/research\/agriculture-and-rural-development\/state-industrial-hemp-statutes.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">a rather exclusive club<\/a>.
