Potentially setting in motion the legalization of marijuana in Mexico.\u00a0In a\u00a0legal ruling handed down on Wednesday, Justice Arturo Zald\u00edvar authored an 88-page decision based on the principles of human rights \u2013 reasoning that Mexico acknowledges an individual\u2019s freedom to participate in activities&#8230;provided they don\u2019t harm others.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s right,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.marijuana.com\/blog\/news\/2015\/10\/mexicos-highest-court-postpones-marijuana-legalization-case\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mexico&#8217;s highest court<\/a> has now decided that prohibiting individuals from smoking weed or growing it for their own personal use violates an individual&#8217;s human rights, according to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2015\/11\/05\/world\/americas\/mexico-supreme-court-marijuana-ruling.html?emc=edit_na_20151104&amp;nlid=55232055&amp;ref=headline#Ruling%20in%20Mexico%20Sets%20Into%20Motion%20Legal%20Marijuana\" target=\"_blank\">New York Times<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201c<strong>The vote by the court\u2019s criminal chamber declared that individuals should have the right to grow and distribute marijuana for their personal use.
