{"id":6828,"date":"2016-10-13T07:22:13","date_gmt":"2016-10-13T07:22:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.420magazine.com\/?p=5299"},"modified":"2016-10-13T07:22:13","modified_gmt":"2016-10-13T07:22:13","slug":"medicinal-cannabis-trial-in-the-works-in-denmark","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cannitrol.com\/blog\/medicinal-cannabis-trial-in-the-works-in-denmark\/","title":{"rendered":"Medicinal Cannabis Trial In The Works In Denmark"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"wp_fb_like_button\" style=\"margin:5px 0 5px 5px;float:right;height:100px;\"><script src=\"http:\/\/connect.facebook.net\/en_US\/all.js#xfbml=1\"><\/script><fb:like href=\"https:\/\/cannitrol.com\/blog\/medicinal-cannabis-trial-in-the-works-in-denmark\/\" send=\"true\" layout=\"standard\" width=\"450\" show_faces=\"false\" font=\"arial\" action=\"like\" colorscheme=\"light\"><\/fb:like><\/div><p>The Health Ministry is making preparations for medicinal cannabis trials starting in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>According to ministerial documents obtained by Metroxpress newspaper, the health minister, Sophie L\u00f8hde, has proposed a four-year trial period that will prescribe cannabis to patients with four different serious conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Going Dutch<\/p>\n<p>The proposal is similar to the model used in the Netherlands, where medicinal cannabis has been legal since 2003.<\/p>\n<p>That involves GPs being able to prescribe Dutch and Canadian cannabis products \u2013 which can be smoked, eaten or drunk \u2013 to patients suffering from multiple sclerosis, back injuries, chronic pain and effects of chemotherapy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut the most important thing for the Danes is that medicinal cannabis becomes legal \u2013 it\u2019s historic.
