When the victim got to the parking lot, the 16-year-old and a man got into his vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe 16-year-old suspect pulled out a handgun in an attempt to rob the victim,\u201d police said in a Wednesday news release. \u201cThere was a struggle for the gun and as the suspect got out of the car he shot the victim in the shoulder.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"related right\" readability=\"-2.37113402062\">\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/crime.denverpost.com\/crime\/robbery\/\"><img src=\"https:\/\/cannitrol.com\/blog\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/westminster-police-seek-16-year-old-boy-in-shooting-during-botched-pot-robbery.png\" alt=\"Denver crime map\" width=\"100%\"\/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>See our <a href=\"http:\/\/crime.denverpost.com\/crime\/robbery\/\">heatmap and neighborhood rankings of reported robbery in Denver<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/aside>\n<p>The victim drove himself home before calling police, authorities say. Investigators are looking for a\u00a0black, 2005 four-door Subaru Legacy.<\/p>\n<p>Police are calling the shooting a case of attempted murder.<\/p>\n<p>Police ask anyone with information on the shooting to call Det.
