More at<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/t4zFMOjgs6\">https:\/\/t.co\/t4zFMOjgs6<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/iZJQxe8t6E\">pic.twitter.com\/iZJQxe8t6E<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 PuebloCounty Sheriff (@PuebloCountySO) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PuebloCountySO\/status\/816713756961017856\">January 4, 2017<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>At about 8 p.m. Tuesday, several people came to the Strawberry Fields \u00a0marijuana store complaining there was a man throwing rocks at vehicles traveling on the Frontage Road along Interstate 25, the county sheriff\u2019s office said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe (security guard) said he went outside and tried to confront the suspect but he walked away,\u201d the sheriff\u2019s office said in a news release. \u201cThe (guard)\u00a0said he followed (Prochaska), when the suspect turned toward him and began waving a knife.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"related right alignright\">\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/crime.denverpost.com\/crime\/violent\/\"><img src=\"https:\/\/cannitrol.com\/blog\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/texas-man-suspected-of-stabbing-marijuana-store-security-guard-throwing-rocks-at-cars-in-pueblo-county.png\" alt=\"Denver crime map\" width=\"100%\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>See our <a href=\"http:\/\/crime.denverpost.com\/crime\/violent\/\">map, report and neighborhood rankings of violent crimes in Denver<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/aside>\n<p>The guard told investigators he pulled out his gun and yelled at\u00a0Prochaska to drop the knife, at which point\u00a0Prochaska lowered the knife\u00a0to his side but refused to drop it.<\/p>\n<p>When the guard tried to grab the knife out of\u00a0Prochaska\u2019s hands, a struggle ensued and\u00a0Prochaska stabbed the guard in the upper leg, the sheriff\u2019s office says. The guard, who had minor injuries, detained\u00a0Prochaska until deputies arrived, according to authorities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring the investigation, deputies learned that three vehicles were damaged by rocks that were thrown by the suspect,\u201d the sheriff\u2019s office said. \u201cAll three drivers said they saw the suspect standing in the road waving his arms and then heard a loud noise and noticed their vehicles had been hit by rocks. The damage to the vehicles was estimated at $3,700.
