{"id":7145,"date":"2017-01-17T13:57:44","date_gmt":"2017-01-17T13:57:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.denverpost.com?p=2365966&amp;preview_id=2365966"},"modified":"2017-01-17T13:57:44","modified_gmt":"2017-01-17T13:57:44","slug":"states-fight-against-colorado-marijuana-laws-on-tap-in-fed-court","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cannitrol.com\/blog\/states-fight-against-colorado-marijuana-laws-on-tap-in-fed-court\/","title":{"rendered":"States\u2019 fight against Colorado marijuana laws on tap in fed court"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"wp_fb_like_button\" style=\"margin:5px 0 5px 5px;float:right;height:100px;\"><script src=\"http:\/\/connect.facebook.net\/en_US\/all.js#xfbml=1\"><\/script><fb:like href=\"https:\/\/cannitrol.com\/blog\/states-fight-against-colorado-marijuana-laws-on-tap-in-fed-court\/\" send=\"true\" layout=\"standard\" width=\"450\" show_faces=\"false\" font=\"arial\" action=\"like\" colorscheme=\"light\"><\/fb:like><\/div><p>A bid to stamp out Colorado\u2019s recreational marijuana industry is scheduled to go before a federal appeals court Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ca10.uscourts.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\">U.S. 10th Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver<\/a> will hear oral arguments in an appeals case that claims Colorado\u2019s recreational cannabis laws fly in the face of federal controlled substances and racketeering laws.<\/p>\n<p>The case, a consolidation of separate appeals backed by national anti-legalization groups, was joined last year by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thecannabist.co\/tag\/nebraska-oklahoma-lawsuit\/\">states of Nebraska and Oklahoma<\/a>, which were coming off a loss after the U.S. Supreme Court <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thecannabist.co\/2016\/03\/21\/scotus-declines-hear-colorado-marijuana-lawsuit-oklahoma-nebraska\/50457\/\">declined to hear the states\u2019 case<\/a>.
