Partygoers told police the loud sounds were fireworks, not gunshots.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.daily-tribune.com\/newsx\/item\/9720-70-arrested-by-cartersville-police-early-sunday-morning\">Cartersville Daily Tribune reports<\/a> that police found evidence of drugs and started an investigation. It\u2019s not clear how much pot police found, but at least 63 people were charged with possession of less than 1 ounce (28 grams).<\/p>\n<p>A parent of one of the party attendees says the arrests occurred because no one would claim drugs that were found:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Police said they found less than an ounce of marijuana at a house party Saturday night &amp; since no one claimed it, they arrested 70ppl for it. M.E.
