Not surprising for anyone who has worked in these industries: food services took the number one space with 30.1% prevalence of current marijuana use, followed by artists at number two with 28.3%.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Related:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecannabist.co\/2018\/03\/07\/marijuana-industry-trimmers-hurting-restaurant-hiring\/100705\/\">Marijuana industry pays trimmers so well, restaurants are struggling to hire<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The study looked at the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System data from 2014 and 2015.\u00a0It\u00a0was authored by Roberta Smith, Katelyn E. Hall,\u00a0Paul Etkind, Mike Van Dyke and is the first study of its kind to use BRFSS data to describe self-reported marijuana use in occupations.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Here\u2019s the percentage of marijuana users among Colorado eligible adults, ranked by industry:\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Accommodation and Food Services \u2013 30.1%<br \/>Arts, Entertainment, and Recreation \u2013 28.3%<br \/>Other Services (except Public Administration) \u2013 20.9%<br \/>Construction \u2013 19.7%<br \/>Real Estate, Rent, Lease \u2013 19.6%<br \/>Retail Trade \u2013 18.9%<br \/>Administration, Support, Waste Management, and Remediation Services \u2013 18.8%<br \/>Information \u2013 18.2%<br \/>Manufacturing \u2013 16.3%<br \/>Agriculture, Forestry, Fishing\/Hunting \u2013 14.4%<br \/>Professional, Scientific, Technical Services \u2013 14%<br \/>Finance and Insurance \u2013 13.5%<br \/>Management of Companies and Enterprises \u2013 13.1%<br \/>Wholesale Trade \u2013 11.4%<br \/>Transport and Warehousing \u2013 10.2%<br \/>Health Care and Social Assistance \u2013 7.4%<br \/>Education \u2013 5.8%<br \/>Public Administration \u2013 5.8%<br \/>Utilities \u2013 5.8%<br \/>Mining, Oil and Gas \u2013 5.2%<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>The study also broke down the use\u00a0by\u00a0race, age and sex.
