{"id":8294,"date":"2018-05-21T17:52:38","date_gmt":"2018-05-21T17:52:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.denverpost.com\/?p=3057985"},"modified":"2018-05-21T17:52:38","modified_gmt":"2018-05-21T17:52:38","slug":"meg-the-budtender-takes-lead-on-new-colorado-marijuana-education-campaign","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cannitrol.com\/blog\/meg-the-budtender-takes-lead-on-new-colorado-marijuana-education-campaign\/","title":{"rendered":"\u201cMeg the Budtender\u201d takes lead on new Colorado marijuana education campaign"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"wp_fb_like_button\" style=\"margin:5px 0 5px 5px;float:right;height:100px;\"><script src=\"http:\/\/connect.facebook.net\/en_US\/all.js#xfbml=1\"><\/script><fb:like href=\"https:\/\/cannitrol.com\/blog\/meg-the-budtender-takes-lead-on-new-colorado-marijuana-education-campaign\/\" send=\"true\" layout=\"standard\" width=\"450\" show_faces=\"false\" font=\"arial\" action=\"like\" colorscheme=\"light\"><\/fb:like><\/div><div class=\"media_block\"><\/div>\n<p>Colorado\u2019s cannabis education campaigns are advancing beyond Legal Marijuana 101.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/responsibilitygrowshere.com\/\">\u201cResponsibility Grows Here,\u201d<\/a>\u00a0the new public education push unveiled Monday by the state health department, will include four targeted campaigns addressing consumers, youth, trusted adults, and pregnant and breastfeeding women.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve worked hard over the past four years to educate Coloradans on the basic laws, responsibilities and health effects of marijuana use,\u201d Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment chief Dr. Larry Wolk said in a statement. \u201cWith these new campaigns, we\u2019re focusing on those most affected by marijuana use to make sure they obey the laws, stay safe and become positive role models for Colorado youth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The new campaign launched with TV, radio and online ads, social media and a website pitching to adult residents and tourists who consume marijuana, and to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecannabist.co\/2017\/12\/11\/teen-marijuana-use-colorado-decline\/94306\/\">people between that ages of 12 and 20<\/a>.
