Not at the engagement party.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While the drug remains federally illegal, recreational marijuana sales became legal in California on Jan. 1, after Proposition 64 was voted into law. Still, there are restrictions on purchasing marijuana.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe law permits adults 21 and up to buy 1 ounce of cannabis per day, which is enough material to fill a few dozen joints. You can alternately purchase up to 8 grams of cannabis concentrates found in marijuana edibles such as candies, brownies and breakfast bars,\u201d according to Politifact.<\/p>\n<p>After returning from a bachelorette getaway in Cabo, Mexico, with pals, Paltrow and her fianc\u00e9 Brad Falchuk celebrated their engagement at the Los Angeles Theatre in April. The duo announced their engagement in January after three years of dating.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe had a big engagement that was the big thing,\u201d Paltrow told Stern. As for the wedding, she said, \u201cI think we\u2019ll do something very small.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Paltrow previously opened up about her upcoming nuptials, saying she was excited to plan her wedding.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m excited about everything!\u201d she told PEOPLE. \u201cI\u2019ve never had a wedding before.
