Either way, a Denver hemp company plans to piggyback on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.denverpost.com\/2019\/04\/17\/carls-jr-cbd-burger-denver\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Carl\u2019s Jr\u2019s CBD burger test run Saturday<\/a> by giving away free samples of its own product outside the chain\u2019s Colorado Boulevard restaurant.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/functionalremedies.com\/\">Functional Remedies<\/a>, self-described as \u201cthe only vertically integrated hemp oil company\u201d plans to have a team stationed outside the Carl\u2019s Jr location at 4050 Colorado Blvd. from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday to give away samples of the company\u2019s whole-plant, lipid-infused hemp oil.<\/p>\n<p>In a news release, the company explained its product is hand-pressed and derived from the most nutrient-dense hemp plants. The result, Functional Remedies claims, is \u201chighly efficacious products\u201d that are \u201cfar superior to CBD isolate and concentrate products.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>CBD, or cannabidiol, is one of the more than 100 chemical compounds found in the cannabis plant. Advocates say CBD provides relaxing, anti-inflammatory effects. It is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.denverpost.com\/2018\/11\/01\/marijuana-medicine-fda-seizures\/\">active ingredient in a Food and Drug Administration-approved medicine<\/a>. There will be 5 milligrams of the stuff in every \u201cRocky Mountain High CheeseBurger Delight\u201d Carl\u2019s Jr sells on Colorado Boulevard Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople are hearing about CBD everywhere, but there\u2019s still an education process happening,\u201d Functional Remedies Chief Marketing Officer Tony Tomassini said in news release. \u201cWe want to give Denverites \u2013 and the world \u2013 the opportunity to try our products and experience the difference that a true, full-spectrum hemp oil can make in their daily lives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Carl\u2019s Jr\u2019s CBD burger is going for $4.20 and is only available to customers ages 18 and up, limit two per customer. The restaurant will open up at 6 a.m. for the test run.
