(Cliff Grassmick, Staff Photographer)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span>Cannabidiol (CBD) isn\u2019t just relegated to pot shops anymore.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The growing popularity of CBD as a herbal extract with much-touted\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.labroots.com\/trending\/cannabis-sciences\/8456\/endocannabinoid-system-discovered\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">health benefits<\/a><span>\u00a0is helping the product move out of dispensaries and into \u201cgeneral sales channels\u201d across the United States. <\/span><span>For evidence, just look at Boulder.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Paul Talbot,\u00a0a digital marketing professional with expertise in holistic wellness, used CBD to help find relief from pain and anxiety. He began exploring the CBD market and in February, he\u00a0launched an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/infusedcbd.co\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">online marketplace<\/a>.\u00a0Earlier this month, he opened a boutique store in downtown Boulder called Infused, A CBD Marketplace.<\/p>\n<p>Infused is about helping people find what fits their lifestyle, Talbot said. But it\u2019s also about educating consumers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to provide a professional space to buy CBD products consumers can trust,\u201d Talbot said.<\/p>\n<p>Talbot isn\u2019t the only one exploring the space, though.\u00a0Analysts from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/arcviewgroup.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Arcview Market Research<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/bdsanalytics.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BDS Analytics<\/a>\u00a0said that in 2018, 65% of the $1.9 billion spent on CBD products across the nation took place through licensed dispensary channels in states with legal cannabis programs.
