Beginning in late March, patients can call the dispensary Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays to place an order for delivery, and pay with cash upon delivery or with a debit card, said Shannon Fender, Native Roots\u2019 director of public affairs. The shop hopes to offer online ordering in the future, she added.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/leg.colorado.gov\/bills\/hb19-1234\">House Bill 1234<\/a>, passed by the Colorado legislature in 2019, <a href=\"https:\/\/theknow.denverpost.com\/2019\/12\/27\/denver-places-to-smoke-weed-public\/229247\/\">legalized medical marijuana deliveries<\/a> at the state level, but left it to municipalities to decide whether to opt in and allow them. According to the announcement, Boulder and the nearby town of Superior are the only two that allow deliveries so far.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe state rightfully prioritized the medical patient community for cannabis delivery, many of whom suffer from illness, pain and mobility issues,\u201d Fender said in a statement. \u201cWith permission from both municipal and state regulators, we are excited to begin the first-ever legal cannabis delivery service in Colorado\u2026 We are hopeful other jurisdictions will follow their lead and opt-in to medical delivery as soon as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"related right\" \/>\n<p>The Dandelion, opened in 2009, is one of 21 medical and recreational dispensaries operated by Native Roots throughout the Centennial State.<\/p>\n<p>In the wake of the new coronavirus, cannabis consumers in other states have increasingly turned to delivery services to purchase products.
