(Provided by TICAL)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Rapper Method Man is debuting a line of cannabis flower in Colorado just as he is making a trip to the Rocky Mountains for a string of concerts.<\/p>\n<p>Method Man partnered with Boulder-based Vera\u00a0Cultivation to grow three strains \u2014 Sweet Grease, Free MAC and Orange Cookie Kush \u2014 under the artist\u2019s TICAL brand, which locals can buy starting Friday. That\u2019s the same day <a href=\"https:\/\/www.denverpost.com\/2021\/05\/18\/wu-tang-clan-will-play-red-rocks-with-the-colorado-symphony-and-outkasts-big-boi\/\">Wu-Tang Clan hits Red Rocks Amphitheatre backed by the Colorado Symphony Orchestra<\/a>, with support from Outkast rapper Big Boi.<\/p>\n<p>TICAL is an acronym for \u201ctaking into consideration all lives,\u201d and also the title of Method Man\u2019s 1994 solo album. It\u2019s more than just the name of his marijuana brand \u2014 the saying also embodies its mission to \u201craise awareness of the historic racial and ethnic disparities and inequities in the criminal justice and business aspects of the cannabis space,\u201d according to a statement.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s why TICAL strains will be available exclusively at <a href=\"https:\/\/simplypure.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Simply Pure<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wolfpaccannabis.com\/menu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WolfPac Cannabis<\/a> dispensaries in Denver, which are both owned by people of color.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the Red Rocks show, Wu-Tang and the Colorado Symphony Orchestra will perform at Mission Ballroom on Saturday before Method Man returns to Red Rocks on Sept. 1 for 420 on the Rocks alongside Redman, Wiz Khalifa, Busta Rhymes and Collie Buds. Method Man, Redman and Busta Rhymes are also slated for a concert at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom on Sept. 2.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"related right\" \/>\n<p>Method Man is just the latest musician to launch a weed brand in Colorado. Last year, soul-revival band <a href=\"https:\/\/theknow-old.denverpost.com\/2019\/08\/20\/willie-nelson-nathaniel-rateliff-cannabis\/222056\/\">Nathaniel Rateliff &amp; the Night Sweats released a line of vape pens<\/a> in advance of a two-night run at Red Rocks.
