(We\u2019ll also let you in on some hidden gems).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Of all the myriad ways to consume cannabis, my favorite is smoking a vape pen.<\/p>\n<p>It wasn\u2019t always. As someone who just moved to Colorado in late 2019, I didn\u2019t have a robust selection of products to choose from in my prior years as a recreational smoker. And while I once thought I\u2019d never grow out of the nostalgia of loading a bowl of flower, vaporizers give me the consistent experience I\u2019m looking for without the need for a lighter or other equipment.<\/p>\n<p>Nowadays, there are dozens of options when it comes to vaping THC, but there\u2019s one product that I swear by: <a href=\"https:\/\/seedandsmith.com\/products\/the-seed-smith-dart\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the Dart from Seed &amp; Smith<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4712322\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft size-article_inline_half\"><img class=\" lazyautosizes lazyload\" src=\"https:\/\/cannitrol.com\/blog\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/this-weed-vape-pen-may-be-the-only-one-youll-ever-want-but-not-the-only-one-youll-ever-need.jpg\" width=\"4032\" data-sizes=\"auto\" data-src=\"https:\/\/cannitrol.com\/blog\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/this-weed-vape-pen-may-be-the-only-one-youll-ever-want-but-not-the-only-one-youll-ever-need.jpg\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/cannitrol.com\/blog\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/this-weed-vape-pen-may-be-the-only-one-youll-ever-want-but-not-the-only-one-youll-ever-need.jpg 620w,https:\/\/i2.wp.com\/www.denverpost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/TDP-L-dartvape-03.jpg?fit=310%2C9999px&amp;ssl=1 310w\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">David Blackwell smokes a Dart vape pen, which features a cartridge that maker Seed &amp; Smith dispensary calls a pod. Unlike other pens, this one rarely ever gets clogged. It can be challenging to find, however, as pods are not as commonplace behind dispensary counters as other carts. (Tiney Ricciardi, The Denver Post)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The first things that are noticeably different about the Dart are its size and shape. The oblong apparatus is 3\u00bd inches long and a \u00bc inch wide, offering portability and the ease of being slipped into a purse compartment or the front pocket on a woman\u2019s pair of pants. That, my friends, is truly something to celebrate.<\/p>\n<p>The sleek design is hardly the only reason I love this pen, though. The unique model also takes unique cartridges, or pods as the company calls them, which magnetically connect to the battery. Though the heating element only has one setting (3.7 volts), it\u2019s plenty to get a good hit every time. And, unlike other carts I\u2019ve tried, these rarely ever get clogged.<\/p>\n<p>As a person of simple weed tastes, I appreciate such a low maintenance product.<\/p>\n<p>Seed &amp; Smith\u2019s pods feature both regular and live concentrates, the latter referring to THC that was extracted from a plant that\u2019s been frozen after it\u2019s harvested versus dried. And for what it\u2019s worth, cannabis purveyors Terrapin Care Station and 14er also make and sell vape pods, though I have not tried them.<\/p>\n<p>This may be the only vape pen you will ever want, but not the only one you\u2019ll ever need, especially in a pinch, as pods aren\u2019t all that common to find behind a dispensary counter.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"related right\" \/>\n<p>When on the hunt for this specific cannabis product, I find it best to go straight to the source. I\u2019ve previously purchased Seed &amp; Smith pods from other dispensaries, only to return to find them out of stock. A friend recently tried to look up where she could buy pods on WeedMaps and when she arrived, the budtender informed her the store did not carry them \u2014 ever.<\/p>\n<p>Seed &amp; Smith\u2019s cultivation facility has an onsite dispensary at 5070 Oakland St. in an industrial stretch of Denver\u2019s Montbello neighborhood that requires a special trip, though it\u2019s well worth it for the selection and price of pods there. (I highly recommend the Tango Live pod.) The free grow tour, currently on hiatus because of COVID-19, is also a worthwhile reason to visit.
