A defeat by tie vote also means the measure can\u2019t be resurrected for six months.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy intent is to bring back the cannabis equity ordinances after a new council is sworn in and we can (hopefully) get away from reefer madness scaremongering,\u201d Marcano wrote on Twitter.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">My intent is to bring back the cannabis equity ordinances after a new council is sworn in and we can (hopefully) get away from reefer madness scaremongering. Two weeks ago, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.denverpost.com\/2021\/09\/14\/aurora-marijuana-hospitality-ordinance\/\">it went down in a 5-5 vote<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Denver passed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.denverpost.com\/2021\/04\/12\/denver-weed-delivery-marijuana-city-council\/\">pot tourism rules<\/a> in April, and will start taking applications for businesses in the fall.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"media_block\"><\/div>\n<p>Aurora&#8217;s prolonged effort to be one of the first cities in Colorado to allow marijuana lounges and mobile pot tour buses was defeated for a final time this week.
