Good news: You\u2019re high-ered!<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cannabiscup.com\/colorado-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">High Times Cannabis Cup<\/a> has returned to Colorado and is currently seeking judges to try locally-made products, including flower, topicals, edibles and concentrates and help determine the best of their kind available in the Centennial State. (See the full list of categories below.)<\/p>\n<p>Entries into The Cannabis Cup, started in Amsterdam in 1988, were traditionally judged by panels of experts, but in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, \u201cHigh Times\u201d reshaped the event into a virtual format and opened judging to the general public. It\u2019s now billed as a \u201cPeople\u2019s Choice\u201d competition and anyone 21 years or older is eligible to judge. In addition to Colorado, competitions are also taking place in Michigan, Illinois, California, and Alaska.<\/p>\n<p>Judging is not limited to longtime consumers and no prior competition experience is necessary. All you need to do is stop by one of High Times partner dispensaries and purchase a judging kit in one of 12 categories. Or heck, purchase and judge in multiple categories if you\u2019re so inclined.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"related right\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Kits, which went on sale June 5, range $80 to $220 depending on the category and include a wide variety of samples. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so call ahead to ensure the dispensary you plan to visit still has some in stock.<\/p>\n<p>Guidance on how to score your products is included in each kit, and don\u2019t feel the need to sample everything at once. The judging period runs June 5 through Aug. 7. Winners will be announced in mid- to late-August.<\/p>\n<p>So what are you waiting for?
