The event, which takes place on, well, Thursday, April 20, celebrates the unofficial holiday with music, food trucks, vendors and and a communal smokeup at 4:20 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>New in 2023: The festival will be limited to attendees aged 21 years and up, though that shouldn\u2019t come as a surprise. Last year, Mile High 420 Fest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.denverpost.com\/2022\/04\/19\/mile-high-420-festival-age-restriction-21-and-older\/\">promised it would impose an age limit<\/a> at future events after fielding concerns from parents about open cannabis consumption onsite.<\/p>\n<p>(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.denverpost.com\/2022\/04\/19\/denver-420-fest-2022-consumption-prohibited\/\">It is technically illegal to smoke weed in public places<\/a>, Denver police like to remind locals, but that doesn\u2019t stop it from happening at the festival.)<\/p>\n<aside class=\"related right\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>The age limit means adults need a ticket to get into Mile High 420 Fest, and those are now <a href=\"https:\/\/www.milehigh420fest.com\/mile-high-420-festival-tickets\">available for free on the event\u2019s website<\/a>. You can also purchase a VIP pass for $175, which includes access to a special entrance and viewing area, two free alcoholic drinks, free swag and more.
