4/20 in Denver: The best concerts around this year’s high holiday
Bob Marley flags, $4.20 sandwich specials, friends visiting from less cool states — it’s that time of year when the whole city starts to feel like a University of Colorado dorm.
That’s right: It’s almost 4/20. Per usual, Denver will be in full party mode for the weed-happy holiday, packing in more concerts than you can shake a vape pen at.
Don’t let the haze overwhelm you. Below, our handy guide to Denver concerts going on around April 20.
Civic Center Park 420 Rally
The granddaddy of them all, this free rally in the heart of Denver is the city’s go-to for weed camaraderie. The event is chock full of industry vendors and features a concert by the massively fun 2Chainz.

420 On The Block
If you’re an old-school electronic music and hip-hop head, the lineup here is hard to beat. Del The Funky Homosapien and Cut Chemist alone are worth the price of admission. But this mini-festival packs a lot more bang for your buck.

Despite producing an illustrious body of work, this is trap rapper Gucci Mane’s first official tour of his decade-plus career. He saved his 4/20 date for Denver, which promises to be a show for the books.

Flosstradamus
Right before his Ogden Theatre show, Gucci Mane will open for Flosstradamus at Red Rocks. The Chicago-based DJ promises a different vibe entirely — more goofy electronic fun to contrast Mane’s snub-nosed flows.

Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa
It wouldn’t be 4/20 without a Snoop Dog concert. Sure enough, the West Coast rapper is hitting Red Rocks the Sunday following the holiday along with beloved mary jane and rhyme aficionado Wiz Khalifa, a repeat of the venue’s bill from three years ago.

Of Montreal
The wonderfully weird Of Montreal returns to Denver with a new album, “Innocence Reaches,” in tow. Expect obtuse funk, play-worthy theatrics, and a whole lot of costume changes.

Thievery Corporation

Honky Tonk at the Opera
Syntax’s monthly swing-and-Western dance party hits on a fun night in April, with good ol’ outlaw country band Bib Tucker & the Liars Club (from Rocky Flats) pitching in on the evening’s fun.
