Fire at legal marijuana grow in NE Denver doused by firefighters

A fire Friday at a legal marijuana grow in Denver was doused by firefighters.

The fire broke out before 5 p.m. in a warehouse at 4242 Elizabeth St., according to the Denver Fire Department.

DFD declared fire in marijuana grow operation at 4242 Elizabeth Under Control after one hour of effort. Expect traffic delays in area. Crews now working to clean soot off of equipment and eliminate contaminates. No injuries and no updates to follow. pic.twitter.com/NYeub8nIIU

There were no injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Firefighters had the fire under control in about an hour. The incident contributed to rush-hour traffic delays in the area.
