One of four men charged with marijuana store robberies in Denver pleaded guilty Thursday and was sentenced up to 12 years in prison.

Tayone Givens, 21, pleaded guilty in Denver District Court to two counts of aggravated robbery, one count for two separate robberies of the same business. He was sentenced to 12 and 10 years in prison, with the terms running concurrently, according to the district attorney’s office. Restitution, as part of the sentence, will be determined at a later date.

Givens and codefendants were charged in a July 28, 2017, armed robbery of the Green Dragon marijuana store, 5130 E. Colfax Ave., from which cash and marijuana products were robbed.

The same business was robbed, also at gunpoint, on Aug. 14, 2017, the release said. A GPS tracker planted in the stolen money led police to the suspects.

Givens and co-defendants Thomas Wilson, 23, and Myles Stephens, 29, were charged in both robberies. Marrell Jones, 26, was charged in the August robbery.
