Hempcrete To Be used in Construction of Florida Home

We at marijuana.net have posted many articles that highlight hemp’s varied uses.  Food, paper, clothing, rope, and so many other products can be made by utilizing the hemp plant.  During a time where we hope the green movement catches on, American Lime Technology is begining the construction of a home that will showcase an entirely new way of construction.  America’s first home made from hempcrete will hopefully pave the way for future buildings.  The home is expected to sustain hurricane force winds (up to 123mph).  Bob Clayton of  American Lime Technology is hoping hempcrete construction catches on across the U.S.  He says that it is common in Europe to use hempcrete in construction and would like to see it gain popularity here.  Many believe hempcrete offers a healthier lifestyle and does not trigger allergies linked to latex and other materials used in building traditional American homes.
