School nurses can treat students with medical marijuana, thanks to law green-lit by Gov. Hickenlooper

Colorado law already permitted parents to give their children medical marijuana at school, usually to treat seizures. The new law signed this week by Gov. John Hickenlooper allows parents to bring medical marijuana to the school nurse’s office for children who have medical marijuana cards.

Hemp products now regulated like food ingredients in Colorado

Gov. John Hickenlooper on Wednesday signed House Bill 1295, which formalizes an 11-month-old state policy that applies existing food manufacturing guidelines to products such as hemp oil-infused coffees and hemp-derived extracts rich in the non-psychoactive compound cannabidiol.
