Spring is a time of renewal, growth and planting. While many gardeners focus on traditional crops, there is a growing community of cannabis enthusiasts who are also embracing the opportunity to cultivate their own cannabis plants. Research from New Frontier Data reveals that approximately 3 million people worldwide grow their own cannabis at home, resulting […]

Remember those heady days of the Green Rush a decade ago, when markets were small and it seemed everyone had a chance? Now it’s more of a mad rush to get some green in the form of investment capital. The majority of states in the country now have some type of legal cannabis market. Businesses […]

“Do you know what today is?” a 13 year old blurted out during science class. “It’s 4/20 and you know what that means.” Several boys nodded and chuckled. “Yeah, THC is cool,” said another student. When I suggested otherwise, a student remarked, “It’s better than drinking.” Glad to hear they’ve internalized the industry’s marketing material, because that’s exactly what these unmotivated, academically challenged 8th graders need–marijuana. So kudos to the state government for amplifying the ‘THC is cool’ message this week.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who hates marijuana, may get what he wants for now. But in the end he probably did a great service to the legalization movement.

I cringed last weekend when I saw news photos of a protest and demonstration in front of the White House in which the most notable image was a 51-foot inflatable “joint.” That’s right. Here we are in 2016 on the verge of finally ending marijuana prohibition, and some activists seem caught in a time warp, […]

I’m leaning over Sophie as she shakes in her bed. It’s about 3:00 in the morning. I’m loathe to turn on the light, but I do, and I lean over her and say the same words that I’ve said, over and over and over, for the last twenty-one years. It’s okay. It’s okay. It’s okay. […]
